Accountancy Service for a Limited Company

Company Registration

If you are starting a limited company, you can set it up yourself if you have the knowledge. But it is at this stage where you need advice on registered office, shareholders, directors, PSC etc etc…. If you don’t get it right at this stage, it can be costly down the line when you company has made it and there are taxes to consider. The company needs to be registered with Companies House, you need a unique name that no one else has got, names of share holders and people of significant contract, registered address and then you are ready to incorporate. This taxes about 24 hours for the documents to come back.

Payroll Setup

Payroll setup and processing is a boring task but need to be done correctly and that’s why most clients love outsourcing this task to their Accountants. You need to register with HMRC upto 28 days before the first pay date. You need to consider the following first pay date, weekly or monthly payroll, producing payslips, paying employees and handling HR questions from staff. This needs to be done correctly or you will upset your staff and they are the ones who help your business run smoothly.

Bookkeeping Services

HMRC and Companies House require every company and sole trader to keep accurate records. To do this you need to choose bookkeeping software like Xero, Quickbooks or use a spreadsheet. You will need your bank statements, invoices and receipts to work from. If you get the bookkeeping right then the accounts are a lot easier and you will be the accountants best friend.

Year-End Accounts

Every company is required to prepare annual accounts and corporation tax return. They are submitted to HMRC and Companies House. Unless you are an accountant you will definitely need help with these from a qualified accountant. The accounts are prepared from the company bookkeeping, so it is very important to get the below correct.

Management Accounts

You can wait until the end of the company year for accounts or get Management accounts produced monthly or quarterly so you have figures to base company decisions on. Instead of making financial decisions without having actual and upto date figures to based them on. They are not a legal requirement and provide insight into the current financial health of a business by tracking various key performance indicators.
